Hey Gang,

Don’t forget! Tomorrow is the kickoff for the Bill Lee for Governor Campaign around Delaware. It starts in Georgetown at 7:30 at the Georgetown Family Restaurant. It then proceeds to go to the grounds adjacent to the Morris Community Correctional Facility in Dover at 11. The tour continues in New Castle County at the Old Court House in New Castle at 3. I hope everyone comes out to support our next Governor of the state of Delaware.

Hey guys! The new regime has just taken over. The YR’s and the Wilmington Region are hosting a BBQ at Rockford Park tonight at 6:30 pm next to the Rockford Tower. We hope everyone can make it. The blog will be updated more often now that all the information has been handed over. If you have time, stop by the State Fair and help out by volunteering at Republican State Committee’s booth. I look forward to working with everyone and making this a very successful year for Young Republicans.

Friends:

As many of you know, last week I took over as Chair of the Wilmington Republicans. Tom Ross, the former Chair of the Wilmington Republicans, resigned to become Chair of the Delaware Republican Party.

Under the rules of the Delaware Republican Party, I now have to give up as head of the YRs. Thus, at our next meeting, we will be holding elections for a new President. We’ll also be holding elections for Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. If you are interested in running, please come out to the next meeting. If you have any questions, please give me a call or email me.

Best,

Rick Carroll

Gang:

Sorry for the dearth of posts lately.  A few notes:

1) State Convention is next Friday night and Saturday (May 2nd and 3rd).  We intend to have a party at the Rusty Rudder (or another suitable location) on Friday night.  If you are coming to the convention (or want to come), shoot me an email — info@delawareyoungrepublicans.com — and plan to spend your Friday night with us.

2)  We are going to rock out like good yuppies at the Point to Point races.  If you want to come, shoot us an email.  We’ll be part of a very large crowd.  I expect nothing but seersucker or madras and sundresses from you all.  For all of your style needs, see the picture below of me:

A Typical Horse Race

3) We’re planning a meeting, tentatively scheduled for Thursday May 8th at Catherine Rooneys — 6pm-8pm.  At that point we’ll have our candidates picked out and it’ll be time to go to work to get these guys elected.  Expect an email soon confirming this.
