Remember that Delaware is holding its primary this Tuesday.  If you are not sure where to vote, you can search here.

For those of you who don’t know for whom to vote for yet, YR extraordinaire Garrett Wozniak has endorsed Governor Mitt Romney. Former YR Congressman Mike Castle is supporting Senator John McCain.

For those of you near Maryland, the Baltimore Area Young Republicans will be hosting a Tsunami Tuesday party for the primaries.

Come out for a Young Republicans Happy Hour next Monday, January 28 at 6:00 p.m. at The Exchange in Downtown Wilmington.  Stop by for a few drinks after work and hear what we’ve got planned for this election year.

Building on the fun of our last gathering, we wanted to get the date thrown out there for October.

Stop by the upstairs bar at Catherine Rooney’s for our October gathering. Meet new friends, talk politics, and find out what is going on in Delaware.

Thursday October 18th 6 to 8pm.

Our school supplies collected in September will be donated to the Marion T. Academy in Wilmington.

Thank you for the donations.

Garrett, Chris and John Meyer

ELIZABETH CROSSAN

Elizabeth Ann Crossan

Of Wilmington, DE was gracefully ushered into the presence of the Lord on Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at the age of 27.

Through trust in her savior, Jesus Christ, she won victory over her cancer, sin, and death as she crossed death’s narrow divide and reached heaven’s golden shore. She lived each day of her life in service to the Lord, showing her love for Him through her courageous spirit, gracious manner, and selfless heart.

Elizabeth loved to spend time with her “boys”, husband, David, and 2 sons, David Jr. and Sammy. She took advantage of every moment, always investing herself in others and uniquely touching each life she came in contact with. Elizabeth was a 1998 graduate of William Penn High School and a 2002 graduate of East Carolina University. She served her family and the Lord each day as a wife, mother, and homemaker.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, David Adair Crossan Sr.; her sons, David Adair Crossan Jr. and Samuel Joseph Crossan; her mother, Dora Ann Irwin, of New Castle, DE, and her husband, Robert; her father, Joseph Temple, of New Castle, DE, and his wife, Joann; her sister, Kirsten Costango, of Delaware City, DE, and her husband, Brandon; her grandmother, Georgia Shinn, of New Castle, DE; as well as many other family and friends.

Elizabeth was an active young republican and will be missed dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with David and family.

The Delaware Young Republicans wish you and your family all the best this holiday season and in the New Year.

During this time of celebration, our thoughts and prayers turn to those less fortunate and for the brave men and women of our armed forces that are serving away from their friends and family.
